Water Bikes Curaçao runs eco-friendly water bike tours from Playa Piskadó in Westpunt, on the island's north-west tip. You sit and pedal above the water rather than in it, so you stay dry while looking down at turtles, coral and reef fish. No swimming or cycling experience is needed, and photos are included at no extra cost.

Crystal Water Ride · 30 minutes · beginner friendly$65 adults · $50 kids
Curaçao Ocean Adventure · 1 hour · most popular$85 adults · $60 kids

Couples Ocean Escape · 1 hour · private, for two$199 the pair
Golden Hour Escape · Saturday sunset · min 2, max 4$99 per person

Kids' rates apply to children under 12. The two couples tours are private and priced for the pair, so two people pay the same whether they book at 10 AM or noon.

Can children come?

Yes, and this is the part most people get wrong. The limit is height, not age: riders must be at least 4’6” (54 inches / about 137 cm) and no taller than 6’5”. Maximum recommended weight is 220 lbs.

So a tall nine-year-old can ride and a small twelve-year-old may not. Measure before you book rather than guessing, and mention any medical conditions when you reserve.

Which one to pick

First time on the water

The Crystal Water Ride, 30 minutes for $65. Calm, close to shore, built for people who have never done this. The cheapest way to find out whether you enjoy it.

The full experience

The Ocean Adventure, a full hour for $85. Their most popular tour, covering more coastline and giving the best odds of a turtle sighting.

Just the two of you

The Couples Escapes at $149 for 30 minutes or $199 for an hour. Private, so no strangers on your ride, and the price covers both of you.

Sunset

The Golden Hour Escape, Saturdays only at 5:30 PM, $99 each with a minimum of two and a maximum of four. Departure shifts with the sunset.

Where to meet them

Playa Piskadó sits at Westpunt on the north-west tip of the island, roughly an hour from Willemstad and about 55 to 70 minutes from Hato Airport. When you arrive at the beach, walk to the left-hand side and you will find them.

This is the same beach where green turtles come in to feed near the fishermen's dock, which is why the tours run from here. There is no bus, so plan the drive: see route prices, or book a ride in your browser.

Before you go

Arrive fifteen minutes early — boarding preparation starts then, and a late arrival is charged in full. Bring water shoes or trainers that can get wet; they are required for boarding. Add a hat, swimwear, sun protection and sunglasses.

They are open Wednesday to Sunday, 10 AM to 3 PM, closed Monday and Tuesday. Changes and cancellations need 48 hours' notice; inside that window, and for no-shows, the full amount is charged. If they cancel for weather you get a reschedule or a full refund.

Booking through Kumbai means the operator is paid directly and the money stays on the island rather than going to an international booking site.
