BRGR HAUS started as a monthly backyard burger pop-up. It outgrew the backyard, opened a permanent spot in Kura Hulanda Village, and now runs two locations — one in Otrobanda, one out at Jan Thiel. It holds a Tripadvisor Travellers' Choice award for 2025.
What they actually do
Burgers built around a proprietary freshly ground beef blend, artisan baked buns and house-made bread & butter pickles. Classic-style rather than smash. Regulars point to the burger bowl and the Harlem truffle; the fries, wings and kaasballen come up again and again in reviews.

Price range runs roughly $9–$20. Seating is outdoor patio, shaded, casual.
Two locations
Hours differ between the two and have changed since opening, so check the day before you go. Reservations are worth making. It gets busy, and it is popular enough that walk-ins can wait.
Getting there, and the parking problem
Reviewers mention parking at the Otrobanda location repeatedly. Kura Hulanda Village sits in the historic center where streets are narrow and spaces are limited, and it fills up in the evening when the surrounding area is busy.
From Punda or Pietermaai
Otrobanda is on the other side of St Anna Bay. You can walk across the Queen Emma pontoon bridge, but it swings open for shipping. If it is open you wait, or take the free ferry.
From Jan Thiel or Mambo Beach
The Jan Thiel location is the easier option if you are staying that side. Otrobanda is 20–30 minutes away depending on traffic.
Skip the parking
Getting dropped at the door costs less than the time spent circling for a space. See route prices.
Making a night of it
Otrobanda puts you a short walk from the Rif Fort and Netto Bar, and a ride from Pietermaai. See the nightlife guide.
If you are eating here on a Thursday, note that Punda Vibes closes the historic center across the water to traffic and changes how the area moves.

Getting to Kura Hulanda Village or Jan Thiel
Otrobanda parking is genuinely hard, and Jan Thiel fills up on weekend evenings. Skip both. Kumbai is Curaçao’s own taxi app: fixed price agreed before you travel, a vetted local driver, and card payment so you are not hunting for an ATM.
