When you use the Kumbai app or website, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, pickup/drop-off location, payment information (processed by our third-party payment providers, not stored directly by Kumbai), and general usage data such as trip history and app interactions.
We use your information to process bookings, connect you with drivers or tour operators, provide customer support, send booking confirmations, and improve our services. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Kumbai relies on third-party services to operate, including a ride-booking platform provider, payment processors, and — for partner-operated tours — independent local tour operators. When you book a partner tour, information necessary to fulfill that booking (such as your name and contact details) is shared with that operator. Each third party has its own privacy practices governing how it handles your data.
To provide pickup and live-tracking services, the Kumbai app requires access to your device's location while actively using the app for a ride.
This website may use cookies for basic functionality and analytics. You can control cookie behavior through your browser settings.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Payment details are handled directly by our payment processors and are not stored on Kumbai's own servers.

Where identity verification is enabled, the app may process biometric data (facial imagery) to verify your identity and prevent misuse. The app may use depth data for liveness detection. This depth data is processed locally on your device and is not stored or transmitted. The app may ask you to take a selfie, which may be securely transmitted to our trusted Service Providers solely for verification purposes and is deleted after verification is completed. Biometric data is used only for identity verification and liveness detection, and not for advertising, marketing, or profiling.
