Privacy Policy — Experiences Marketplace
Last updated: July 2026. This document covers the Kumbai Experiences Marketplace only. Kumbai's own ride, shuttle, and taxi service is covered by a separate Privacy Policy.
1. What We Collect
When you create an account, browse, or book an experience on the Kumbai Experiences Marketplace, we collect:
- Account information: full name, email address, password (stored securely, never in plain text)
- Booking details: the experience booked, date, number of guests, and any phone number you provide
- Basic technical information: general usage data needed to keep the platform running securely
If you apply to become a Partner, we additionally collect your business name, contact name, email, phone number, and the category and pricing of the experiences you list.
2. How Your Information Is Shared with Partners
This is the most important part of this policy to understand: when you book an experience, Kumbai shares your name, email, phone number, and booking details (date, guest count) directly with the Partner operating that experience. This is necessary so the Partner can confirm your booking, contact you about meeting arrangements, and provide the service you booked. Partners are independent businesses, not Kumbai employees or divisions, and are responsible for how they handle your information once it's shared with them for this purpose.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not share it with Partners beyond what's needed to fulfill a specific booking you've made with them.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your account
- To process and confirm bookings, and share the necessary details with the relevant Partner
- To send booking confirmations, calendar invites, and related communications
- To offer you a ride via the main Kumbai app when relevant to your booking (e.g., a prompt to book transportation to a meeting point) — this uses only the meeting point information, not your personal contact details, unless you choose to book a ride
- To maintain the security and integrity of the platform
4. Data Retention
We retain your account and booking information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet accounting, legal, and dispute-resolution obligations. You can request deletion of your account by contacting us — see Section 7.
5. Payment Information
Where the marketplace processes payment directly (rather than arranging payment offline with the Partner), payment card details are handled by our payment processor and are not stored directly on Kumbai's own servers.
6. Your Rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time. Given Curaçao's data protection framework, you may also have the right to object to certain processing or request a copy of your data in a portable format.
