Licensed taxi drivers only
Kumbai is open exclusively to drivers holding a valid Curaçao taxi license and permit. We are not a rideshare platform and we do not accept private drivers or unlicensed vehicles. Applications without a license cannot be processed.
What it costs
A fixed $100 USD per month, plus 15% commission deducted from each completed ride. Nothing else. No joining fee, no per-ride bidding, no algorithm deciding what your time is worth.
What you need to apply
A valid taxi license
A current Curaçao taxi license and permit in your own name. This is not negotiable and is verified before your profile goes live.
A roadworthy vehicle
Clean, insured, mechanically sound, and appropriate for carrying passengers and luggage.
A smartphone
To receive booking requests, navigate to pickups and confirm completed rides.
Working English
Most passengers are visitors. Papiamentu, Dutch or Spanish alongside it is an advantage.
What you get for it
Booking requests from passengers who already know the fare and have already agreed to it. No haggling at the kerb, no meter disputes, no argument at the end of the trip.
