International Transactions – Best Practices
If you’re using a card from outside Curaçao:
- Enable international/online purchases on your card in advance.
- Use cards that minimize foreign transaction fees.
- Note that all charges are made in ANG (Netherlands Antillean Guilder). Your bank may charge a conversion fee.
- Always verify your final charge in your bank statement after currency conversion.
Failed or Declined Payments
- If a card payment fails, your ride will be marked unpaid, and your account will be restricted until the balance is cleared.
- Kumbai may retry the charge or pursue collection via other legal channels if needed.
Driver Tips
- You may tip your driver via the app after a card ride, or give cash tips directly.
- All tips go 100% to the driver.
Promotions and Ride Credits
- Promo codes and ride credits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- They have no cash value and must be applied before the ride is completed.
